🧡Giving back is at the heart of what we do. As part of our Westfield One giving back strategy, all our colleagues have the opportunity to volunteer individually or as teams for causes they're passionate about. 🌟 April brought a 'baa-utiful' opportunity for our colleagues Hope Zelly and Amy Farrish! They joined Whirlow Hall Farm Trust at their Lambing Event, getting 'ewe-nique' hands-on experience with adorable newborn lambs. From cuddles to lambing facts, it was a 'shear' delight! For more information on the ways we give back or to nominate a charity for support, head to our website: https://bit.ly/3USPugQ #WorkingAtWestfield #GivingBack #Volunteering #CommunityGiveBack #ThrowbackThursday

🔍 New research offers vital insights into workplace mental health interventions. The research highlights the extent to which programmes such as mindfulness, stress management, mental health coaching, and sleep programmes improve people’s mental health at work. In our latest blog, Kate Platts, our Head of Research & Innovation, gives her expert insights as she breakdowns three key takeaways from the study: ➡ Volunteering programmes top the list for boosting employee wellbeing. ➡ Wellbeing initiatives improve perceived stress support amongst employees. ➡ Context is crucial for wellbeing initiatives success. Mental health programmes at work can work, and do work, but it doesn’t happen by chance. By promoting the positive through well thought-out wellbeing programmes, and preventing harm by ensuring supportive, inclusive practices, cultures and environments, organisations can play a meaningful role in keeping employees mentally healthy and happy at work. At Westfield Health, we're all about investing in the health and wellbeing of our community. One way we do this is through our charitable partnership with the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust which aims to positively impact the local community by transforming the wellbeing of young people in the region. ⭐Throughout March and April, we hosted a group of students from four different schools (Oasis Don Valley, Fir Vale Academy, Hinde House and Park Academy) across four Dragon's Den style sessions, where the students were tasked with presenting wellbeing solutions aimed at primary school students transitioning into secondary school. 💪 With the guidance of Athlete Mentor, Paul Broadbent the young minds demonstrated a depth of creativity and passion that was truly inspiring to witness in their presentations, especially after one groups minibus broke down on the way to Westfield HQ! These are the sort of experiences that will equip them with the skills they need to thrive in the real world such as resilience and adaptability. ✨A honourable mention and a big thank you to the panel of Westfield colleagues and the teachers for making the sessions a success. ➡Want to find out more about our three-year charitable partnership?
